What is Dance the Wisdom?

It began when I received an email from a teacher of mine. I had sent him an article about wisdom that Margaret Atwood wrote about “wisdom seekers.”  In his response he said something like “he was dancing the wisdom” and I thought it–thought provoking. Having pondered what he said, I remember something I had done with a few friends about a year ago but then stopped—for some unknown reason—maybe I ran out of words, although that’s not really possible.

This is what I asked for…I would send everyone a word—like spirit or gratitude—and then have everyone write his or her sense of the word. In all I think we wrote to more than 50 words.

I then decided to see if www.DancetheWisdom.com was available and much to my surprise it was. It was another indication that okay; I’m going to do this in a blog. I’m going to start by sharing some of the words we wrote to and ask that if you are interested in being part of this blog to please write what sense you have of the words I include. And if you want us to write to a different word, please add it in your comments.

I am interested in your blog.
I heard about it from Sherry Folb.
It’s the dose of substance that is needed in my life more than ever right now.

    • Darlene,

I think I did send you an email…but as I was looking through the blog today I saw your note again. Are you interested in writing with this group? If so, let me know and I will include you in the word of the week.

I hope you decide to do this…

hey you- this is a great-looking site! It’s the first time I’ve checked it out and I’m impressed. Keep up the good work.

  3. Yes — “dance the wisdom” — it has a nice ring. Something to do with intention and destiny, I think. When energy, or chi, moves through the body, as in dance — or chi gong, for example — the wisdom inherent in the heart is accessible.

  4. Wow, I really like this blog. :) I’d love to be a part of this somehow!

  5. Dear Sherry,

What a wonderful site. It is put together so beautifully. This is the perfect medium for you and many of your gifts. You are the perfect hostess with a wealth of resources. I hope our paths continue to cross.
    Love and appreciation,

    • Marsha,

Thank you so much…I appreciate your kind words. I’ve been doing this for a couple of years now and find it’s not only fun it’s illuminating. If you would like to join our group, that would be lovely. As for UJJ I still have a dilemma…but I should know more today.
